Our method

Our learning model is centred on the use of cooperative work in order to complete a series of set challenges. These challenges are based on real-life situations and touch upon areas of the culture behind and surrounding the language.

Writing skills

In this class ,Written Comprehension and Expression are taught and put into practice. Grammar is a main feature. This is where students learn the theory, read and produce text. In order to complete each module’s set challenge, the students will need to make use of all that is taught in said module.

Verbal communication skills

In these sessions, new vocabulary is introduced and learned. Listening comprehension and Mediation are practised. Verbal Communication (Speaking) will come in the form of debates, role plays, discussions, monologues, videos and voice recordings. The theory taught in Writing Skills will, of course, be put to use here as well.

Tutorial classes

The tutorial classes are designed to reinforce and enhance competencies in areas that the teacher or student consider to be weaker-be that in Writing Skills or in Verbal Communication Skills. The students will work more independently, but will always have a teacher at hand.

The Challenge

The challenges are made up of different steps to use all the grammatical and lexical contents of each stage with the aim of carrying out a task that meets the expressive needs of any foreign language learner (making a hotel reservation, sending an e-mail to request information from an organisation, etc.).

Culture

In our classes, Verbal and Written challenges are set which are based on real life situations. The culture behind and surrounding the language plays its part in each challenge. Many activities deal with aspects of culture, traditions and cultural understanding.
