2.<\/strong> Express opinion<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u2013 The subordinate goes in the subjunctive<\/b> when the opinion is negative.<\/u><\/p>\n

Example:<\/em> No creo que Mar\u00eda vaya<\/b> a la fiesta.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u2013 The subordinate goes in indicative<\/b> when the opinion is positive.<\/u><\/p>\n

3. Make assessments, advice and recommendations<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u2013 The sentence is in the subjunctive<\/b> when the assessment or advice has a specific addressee.<\/u><\/p>\n

Example:<\/em> Es bueno que bebas<\/b> agua.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u2013 The sentence is in the infinitive<\/b> when the assessment or advice is general<\/u> (it has no specific addressee).<\/p>\n

Example:<\/em> Es bueno beber<\/b> agua.<\/em><\/p>\n

4. Express future action with respect to another<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u2013 The subordinate clause is in the subjunctive<\/b> when it refers to a future action with respect to another.<\/u><\/p>\n

Example: Se lo dir\u00e9 cuando me llame<\/b>.<\/em><\/p>\n

5. Express hypothesis and probability with the connectors: maybe(s), perhaps, possibly, probably, surely\u2026<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u2013 With the subjunctive<\/b>, a lower degree of probability is expressed.<\/u><\/p>\n

Example:<\/em> Tal vez mis primos vengan<\/b> en avi\u00f3n.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u2013 Indicative<\/b> expresses a higher degree of probability.<\/u><\/p>\n

6. Express hypothesis or probability with the connectors: it is possible \/ probable \/ can (be)\u2026 + que<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u2013 Always with subjunctive<\/b>.<\/p>\n

7. Express hypothesis or probability with the connectors: maybe, the same, the same\u2026<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u2013 Always with indicative<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Example:<\/em> A lo mejor mis primos vienen<\/b> en avi\u00f3n.<\/em><\/p>\n
